Jedi Order -=Year =-
Ranks
Tier 0 - Hopeful
Before becoming members of the Jedi Order, newcomers start as Tier 0 (Hopefuls). They are expected to learn the very basics of the Jedi Order, such as customs, and get acquainted within the clan. In time, once deemed ready by the Recruiting team and the Lower Council, they will be able to join as Tier 1 members.
Tier 1 - Padawan
Every member begins his or her journey as a Padawan. As such, they are shown the basics and taught what they need to know to further their training. They will undergo basic training and also begin to learn the ways of the Jedi Order.
Tier 1 - Padawan Learner
Once a Padawan has been chosen by a Tier 3, 4, 5 or 6, that is, Jedi Knight or above, to train individually, he or she will become an apprentice. As an apprentice, he or she begins to learn the advanced aspects of the Jedi way from their Master-Trainer. Becoming an apprentice will not affect the Tier.
Tier 2 - Jedi
Once an apprentice is felt to be ready for more challenging duties and training, the Master-Trainer will request a set of Tier 2 trials, overseen by the Lower Council. If passed, the Apprentice will become Tier 2.
While Tier 1 focus on studying the knowledge, Tier 2 focus more on developing insights on the subjects, learning to pass them on. A Tier 2 is also required to take part in one of the Occupations.
Tier 3 - Jedi Knight
Once the apprentice is deemed ready, he or she will undergo Tier 3 trials, again held by the Lower Council. If passed successfully he or she is given the rank Tier 3.
A Tier 3 member may then take on his or her own apprentice, or choose to further their own training on their own.
Tier 4 - Jedi Master
Once a Tier 3 has demonstrated exceptional quality, and has demonstrated such mastery, he or she may be honored with the rank Tier 4. To be a Tier 4 is to have the most serious commitment to the Jedi Order and our ways.
Tier 5 - Member of the Lower Council
Loyal, committed and skilled members may be honored with a seat in the Lower Council. Lower Council is in charge of every day life, they handle promotions and other affairs from Tier 0 to Tier 3.
Tier 6 - Jedi Master of the Grand Council
Once a member has demonstrated more than plain commitment to the Order, he or she may be requested, if the current Grand Council has unanimously agreed, to take seat in the Council. To be a Jedi Master or General of the Grand Council is to have an almost impossible devotion and respect towards others, and the Order.
Honorary members
There are two main categories for honorary members. Force Ghosts are past Masters of the Grand Council, who have had a vast impact on the Jedi Order. Instead of resigning from the Order, they are given the honorary Ghost rank, to allow them to be around even after their active contribution.
Spectres are such honorary members who reached ranks of Jedi Knight or Jedi Master. Despite not having a seat in the Grand Council, they are dedicated members, an example to the *<JO>*. They have spent years upon years as members prior to their promotion to these positions.
