Applying

How to join

For every applicant, or Hopeful as we call them, there is an evaluation period. It begins from the moment an application is filled on our forums, and ends when the member is either accepted as a member or denied from joining.

Registration and application

First thing you need to do is fill in the application. Register to our forums and once registered, find a board called "Applications". Post your own application there, and don't forget to read the instructions!

By filling the application you officially become a Hopeful, a recruit of the Jedi Order. As a Hopeful you are expected to find out the basics of the Jedi Order. We will get to know to you, and more importantly you will get to know us.

What is expected of a Hopeful?

In short, we want you to know the basics of the Jedi Order. This includes reading our code, knowing some members and learning the customs we have. Showing interest in what we are and what we do will not hurt either.

Being accepted

During your time as a Hopeful the Recruiting team will keep an eye on you. Once they see you are fit to join us, they will pass their suggestion to the Lower Council, which will then vote on the subject. If everything goes well you will be accepted as a Padawan or Private of the Jedi Order.

Some customs

Respect is a key factor in the Jedi Order. As a sign of this, we always call each other by title and name, e.g. Master Zle or Master Humungus, instead of just Humungus. As another sign of this, we always bow in front of each other when we meet face to face.

When entering a server with other members in it, it's polite to greet everyone present. Some have chosen to greet everyone by their name and title, instead of just saying "Hello everyone".

When someone is leaving a server, it's appropriate to salute them by saying "May the Force be with you", "and with you" or any variants.

Please also make sure to inform of your possible absences on the forums. This way the Recruiting team will know you are e.g. on a holiday and have not left the guild.
