One of our listeners, Cynthia Chadwick, sent us some gorgeous pictures from her recent adventure: "The Necklace Valley trail in the Cascade Mountains in The Great Pacific Northwest, Washington state. Myself and 2 other co-workers, each bringing our dog did a 3-day backpacking trip, hiked and camped around the different lakes at the top of the mountain. The trail is called "Necklace Valley" because it's a "jewel" of a hike. There are about a dozen little lakes right in a row (like jewels on a necklace). Hence the name Necklace Valley. The water is so pure, clear and cold that the deeper it goes the more it reflects the blue sky."
