"He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. "
Psalm 1:3

The Healing Waters

Oh, the joy of sins forgiven,
Oh, the bliss the blood-washed know,
Oh, the peace akin to Heaven,
Where the healing waters flow.

O, this precious, perfect love!
How it keeps the heart aglow,
Streaming from the fount above,
Where the healing waters flow.

Oh, to lean on Jesus’ breast,
While the tempests come and go!
Here is blessed peace and rest,
Where the healing waters flow.

Cleansed from every sin and stain,
Whiter than the driven snow,
Now I sing my sweet refrain,
Where the healing waters flow.

Where the healing waters flow,
Where the joys celestial glow,
Oh, there’s peace and rest and love,
Where the healing waters flow!

"When life knocks you to your knees, you're in a good position to pray!"

Have a Great Summer!

Hello from Jeff and Anne @ Word of Truth Radio!

We would like to say thank you to everyone who has been praying for Jeff's sister. In April, Jami was in a terrible car accident that almost took her life, but our merciful God sustained her. After several difficult weeks in the intensive care unit, she is on the road back to full recovery. We are continuing to praise and thank the Lord for the great miracles we have seen and we pray that Jami will choose to follow the Lord Jesus all the way to heaven.

Since our last newsletter, we've updated our Prayer Request Section and we've also added a place for you to post your Praises and Answered Prayers.

Thank you for listening to and supporting Word of Truth Radio with your prayers and financial contributions. If you would like to keep this station on the air, you can help by praying and sending a Donation.

Here's a Bible study that we've put together for you: May God pour the Holy Spirit into your heart as you contemplate this study.

The Promises of Isaiah 58:11

(This study has valuable lessons for both mature Christians and new believers!)

"The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail."

"The Lord will guide you continually"

Isaiah 48:17    John 10:3-4

Jesus wants to be your constant shepherd (Isaiah 40:11), guiding you in the little details of the day and in the big turns of your life (Isaiah 42:16). Surrender your life to Jesus moment by moment and be sensitive, willing, and open to His direction (Psalm 25:4-5).

"And satisfy your soul in drought"

Psalm 36:9     Matthew 11:28-30

Jesus is the only one that can truly satisfy the longings of your heart (Psalm 63:1-2). Only in an abiding relationship with Him is the soul truly content. Jesus says in Matthew 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (satisfied)".

"And strengthen your bones"

Psalm 31:24      Isaiah 41:10

This phrase means to deliver, equip, and make strong. Jesus wants to equip us with the "whole armor of God" (Ephesians 6:13-18) so that we can be strengthened for the battles against sin and self.

"You shall be like a watered garden"

Jeremiah 31:12     Psalm 1:3

Isn't it a wonderful thought to know that the Lord wants you to be a beautiful garden? Think about these characteristics of a flourishing garden of the heart:

A Garden...
Reflects the beauty and power of our Creator God
Is alive with life and ever growing upward
Is fruitful (overflowing with the fruits of the Spirit)
Enjoys a close relationship with the Gardener
Is peaceful and relaxing to be around
Thirsts for the rain of the Holy Spirit.

"And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail"

Revelation 21:6     Isaiah 41:17-18

Jesus wants your Christian experience to be alive and refreshing, not stagnant and stationary (John 7:37-38). Christ said in John 4:14 "But the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life". May Jesus perform all these wonderful promises in your life today and for evermore!
