No, SWG is crap.

It was the best game ever before the CU (Combat Upgrades) around 3-4 years ago, then around 1-2 years ago they released the NGE (New Game Enhancements) which reduced the game from 32 playable classes (with an enticing way to unlock Jedi) to like 8? Everyone now is exactly the same on NGE.

-Pre Pub9 (The birth of SWG, greatest MMORPG of it's time- SWG was full of mysteries as was the unlocking of Jedi) (Jedi actually valued their lives with the permadeath rule)
-Pre CU (One of the best moments of SWG, tieing with pub 9- I haven't ever enjoyed any other game as much as I enjoyed this)
-CU (Bareable, gave players 'levels' and changed the interface- making level extremely tedious with constant training in Dantooine Mining Outpost)
-CU2 (Same as above, still pretty much bareable
-NGE (Death of SWG, reducing playeable classes from 32 to 8. Removing an extensive amount of character individuality with the template system destroyed, some new 'expertise' for each class was more recently released and the combat style was completely changed)

Oh yeah, and one thing the NGE brought was;

JEDI CHARACTER FOR EVERYONE!

Yeah my mate the other day when we were skateboarding got blocked by a fat woman from getting into the chipshop and he literally said 'omfg' and i went 'lol' it was funny at the time XD cause we usually just make fun of em but he started it off :P he reminds me of one of my old mates and its good to have someone around who is exactly like him lol.
