Story of Garion
« on: August 09, 2012, 09:35 AM »
My past has been in mystery for a long time. But now I am starting to learn more of my time before I first walked on Tython. I shall post in this topic as I continue to learn. For now, here is the first chapter of my past.

A long time ago, I was born on the planet of Uphrades. My life there was a good one. I spent my time there becoming good at hunting and using a vibrosword. That was fun, but what I enjoyed most was hearing the stories about the Jedi and the Republic. When I heard about the acts of Darth Revan, who had turned to the light side at that time, I was inspired to learn the ways of the force. But there's no way I could just go to the Jedi on Tython. There wasn't a single shuttle near the village where I lived. But one day, when I was just twelve, an Imperial shuttle landed in the village, and a Sith stepped out. You see, I had never heard of the Sith, so I did not know who this warrior was.

To be continued...

I looked upon the dark warrior, as did everyone in my village. He spoke in a dark voice. "Where is the leader of this village?"
My father stepped forwood. I never learned my father's real name as a child. "I am. Why are you here, sith?" Sith? I had never heard that name before.
"I have been ordered to come here by the Sith Emperor. He sences a great disturbance in the force coming from this planet. Look up."
My father looked up and saw many Imperial ships high in the sky. Something was wrong.
"The Emperor wants your son to come to Korriban. If you accept, the Empire will allow you to continue farming for the Republic and swear never to come near Uphrades again. Refuse, and everything here dies and the Empire assumes complete control of the planet."
"You wouldn't dare take so many lives just to take one child with you."
"Try me, Jedi." JEDI?! I couldn't believe what that sith had said.
"How......how do you know?"
"I may be young, but my connection with the force allows me to see the truth inside of you."
"Well then," my father pulled out a bright green lightsaber. "I'm afraid I cannot allow you to take my son. He does not belong to you." The sith snarled. "So be it......jedi."

My father and the Sith crossed blades and began a brutal battle. The entire duel was about an hour, but to me, it seemed like days. The villagers ran from the battle, but I stayed and watched. Something told me I should stay.
The Sith proved to be stronger than my father, and disarmed him, grabbing his green lightsaber. My father was knocked down to the ground by a powerful force push. In a single flash second, my father was struck down. Normally, I would have expressed great sadness and anger at the Sith, but he was drawing my attention to him through the force.
"You now have a choice, boy." said the Sith as he turned to me. "Come with me, and the Empire leaves Uphrades. Stay, and everything dies."
My choice was a bold one, as it would cause a great act of betrayal years later. "I'll.....I'll come with you. Please leave Uphrades."
"Very well. Let's go."
The Sith took me on board his shuttle and the two of us left Uphrades. I wouldn't see my home for years.....

"I don't understand...what do you want with me? And what's Korriban?" I asked nervously. The sith turned to me. By the looks of it, he was slightly older than me. "I have been ordered by the Sith Emperor to bring you here. He believes that you will be a great addition to the Empire." He answered. "The Empire?" I asked. "It seems you have much to learn. Let us talk." The sith then went through a long discussion about the Empire, the Sith, and the dark side. He told me stories of the Sith Lords, the Emperor, and the Emperor's children. I was impressed by the power that was channeled through the Sith Empire. "But who are you?" I asked.
A long moment of scilence occured between us. The Sith finally spoke. "My name............is Veradun."

Years later............in the Emperor's Fortress...

I enetered the throne room. The Emperor's Wrath was standing there to face me, and as I looked up, I saw the Emperor on his throne. "You again." He stated in his cold voice. "I thought you would have been killed by now. Your lust for revenge must have driven you to me."
"Revenge? What are you talking about? This is only the first time we have met face to face" I said. The Emperor laughed in his usual tone. "I never thought that you still didn't remember what happened so long ago. Of your pathetic attempt to kill me and how you were betrayed by a friend."
"Betrayed? Wait a minute...........you know why I don't remember my past! What did you do to me?" But that was never answered as the Emperor's Wrath attacked.

The rest of my story is so long, I'll tell you the rest here.
The Emperor clouded my mind that day when I confronted him, and showed me the past. Veradun was a friend of mine, he taught me the ways of the Sith and we both served the Emperor. But as we grew stronger, so did our lust for control of the Empire. Veradun then told me that he and I should confront the Emperor and kill him. I was to confront the Emperor first, while Veradun was to attack the Emperor from behind. The confrontation was a deadly battle. The Emperor set several of his Sith apprentices to attack, and while I struck them down one by one, Veradun attacked and he crossed blades with the Emperor. After killing all the Sith, I joined Veradun in battle. It was a furious duel, and Veradun was overpowered by the Emperor's lightening and he was knocked out by a force push. I finally gained the upper hand but before I could finish the duel, Veradun awoke and flung his lightsaber at my face, giving me the scar I have now. Veradun then told me that the Emperor considered me a threat, and decided to draw me to the dark side in order to betary me, since I would never expect an attack from a friend. The Emperor and Veradun left me for dead, but I survived. But at a grave cost. The Emperor had wiped my memory, and I didn't know what happened during my time as a Sith.
