By the way, the server is taking a long time to download. It just says, "Awaiting challenge" and keeps on loading. It says the server uses Protocol 20-something. Should I also add on the Game Update for JKA as well? Should I also get Protocol 20-something? I really want to get on that server. Someone plz help out.

I think JKA has to be patched. That's probably the issue if you have the right mod (JA+) installed.

I'm not sure if I have. I ordered JKA off Amazon, so it's CD-rom. I inserted the disk and had to go through a short downloading process to upload the game to my computer. I haven't downloaded any game updates for it or got Protocol 26. It's all so confusing...

Well, I've got the Update, but it just says it can't load. I've got the right IP, I think. (The one Knight Scalarik mentioned). Is the server shut down because we haven't payed for it? if not, then I feel like not bothering to try to join you all at JKA. It just seems too hard and too complicated.

1) Install JKA
2) Install JKA 1.01 Path
3) Install JA+ mod
4) Install JedicouncilGCX map

If you've done all that, the IP should work.

I've done 1 and two, but not 3 and 4. Thanks. Are you talking about the mod made by Slider?

It shouldn't be that difficult, if you follow the steps outlined by Master Alpha. JKA works perfectly on my computer, running Windows 7 (if I only had time to play it). Try running as Administrator and running in compatibility mode for Windows XP, too.

The reason it isn't working, if you haven't done 3 and 4, is that you don't have the mod+map that the server is running.

Thanks for the help so far. I THINK I've got the mod now. Do you have the link for the GCX map? Thanks. I'm actually going off to bed now. I'm very tired after trying to get on the server. You can still give me the link now if you want. I'll just read it tomorrow if you don't mind. Thanks again.

On the first page of this thread is all the links to the maps that are on the server in the first post, including GCX map. Currently using the standard GCX map as default and not the 2010 one.
