Narration... Is a very relative thing. You can narrate with anything... and with nothing.

Anyway, in this case it's very easy.

The story will be not showed at all. This is a pool of sets, locations and actions, from which the trailer will be made. It has to be logical, subsequent, and interesting enough. Yes, it's plain, for now. We should start from simple things and I know a couple of tricks to make it enjoyable.

I'll give you an example.

Supposinly, you want to tell a story about a work of an artist... an artist seeking perfection. It can turn out like this:

But then you might think you want to tell a story of a solitude. Of a man who lives every day of his life alone... Like a wind which blows every day on a place. You can re-edit your footage, or even remake some things, to achieve something like this:

But then again, you just want to show that you had lots of fun. You take all the footage, and re-edit it like this:

It all depends on your goal. One story, different solutions. The simpler is the story, more solutions are visible.

So, Treatment of the video "The new dawn of the Jedi Order".

1. It's a trailer-like video of 2-3 minute length.

2. It uses lots of splashes and titles. (black screen with text)

3. It's very dynamic: average cut duration 0,5 - 1 sec.

4. Colors are mainly original.

This video can be logically divided in three parts: History, Challenge, OneForAll. Each part is contained within its music theme in symphonical construction.

Let's see them in details:

History

Introductive part. This part reflexes itself on *<JO>* roots. I.e., there will be thenes of Kyle Katarn's trials on Yavin IV in JO2, old screenshots and/or footage, combined with scenes of SWTOR. They will be dissolve alternated by black screens with text. In the end of the part, a scene with master and apprentice standing on Tython will be shown.

This part has very flowed rhythm. One shot passes into another gradually.

Information delivered in this part: Jedi were guardians of the peace and justice in the Galaxy, but now the Order is almost destroyed. You must prove yourself worthy of your title, padawan.

Challenge

Information delivered: We might be facing challenges at the moment, but it's not over. We are here around by 10 centuries, or 170 years.

This is the scene packed with action. Explosions, saber clashes, fightings....

OneForAll

Information delivered: We are standing at the new dawn. We are together, and only together can we succeed.

Heroic moments in group, winning the enemies, listening to masters, other.

This is just a matter of opinion but I think the best recruitment videos don't have a "story" but they appeal to what people think of the theme of the guild, take the trooper video that has been posted somewhere, it has no story, really it's just troopers running round Tatooine....

I think a recruitment video needs to be simple:

- Key features of the guild (I.e master-padawan relations)
- Any significant history (10 years of JK series etc)
- An appeal to emotion and to what people stereotypically think of when they imagine a Jedi Order (ie training on Tython, leading in battle, duelling Sith)

We aren't making a movie trailer here!

If you are talking about this video ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UmwBwcPM-Sk ), you will notice that it has similar structure as my project:

1. History
2. Preparation to fight.
3. Fight.
4. Slogan.
5. ...
6. Bonus scene!

Hey guys, I need help! Give me as many appropriate quotes from JK2, JKA, SWTOR and of course original saga as possible!
