Little is known to the remaining few of the Nu'vada family about their heritage. However, some history has survived.
The Nu'vada family originated from the planet of Ryloth. Home of the twi'leks. For decades, they were merely average citizens of the planet, just managing to scrap a living. Until a series of events, set in motion by the war, changed that.
The origin of Tomius:
Tomius was born at a time when the war was in full swing and the republic was seeing defeat after defeat. His parents were recently wed and wanted to start a family. Believing that Ryloth was not the safest place to do this, they decided to travel to a more distant planet, less affected by the war. So once Tomius was born, they took public transport to leave their heritage and home behind. However, this was a dark time and many evil forces were at work in the galaxy. The public transport was attacked by a viscous bunch of bandits and pirates. Many were killed in the first attack and the survivors fled to other areas of the ship. Tomius's father saw it as his duty to protect his new family so took a brave group of volunteers to face the pirates head on.
None of them were seen again, but some passengers swore they heard screams of pain and the ringing of blaster fire. Tomius's mother feared for year new-born and so made her way to the escape pods. However pirates littered the ship. She ran with courage and did her best to protect her child. However, not all blaster shots can be dodged. With her finally ounce of strength and last breath, she managed to put her baby into an escape pod and eject it from the ship. She looked out from the window into the vast space at her only child...knowing she will never see him again or be able to offer him a family or love. And with that she fell to the floor, life departing her body. A lone freighter ship detected the escape pod and managed to rescue the young Tomius. However, the mere smugglers piloting the ship did not wish to raise the child so thought it be best to send him to an orphanage on Corscant. There Tomius grew up and soon realised his ability in he force. He grew up believing his parent were still out in the galaxy and is still searching for parents, hoping one day he might find them.
When the empire sacked Corscant, Tomius had travelled to Tython to get accepted by the Jedi order and learn the ways of the force. He is still learning and continues his search for his parents through his ignorance of their deaths.
The Origin of Xald:
Even less is known of young Xald. He was raised by his mother on streets of Nar Shaddaa. It was a rough upbringing and Xald had to learn to adapt to dangerous situations. His mother refused to talk about the past. Once he was old enough, Xald left his mother and bought a ship to travel the galaxy. In his travels he heard a voice beckoning to tython. There he found Tomius and soon realised they were of the same blood. Tomius persuaded Xald to join the order for his skills may be useful if developed. Xald is a very cheeky twi'lek and will never back down from a fight or challenge.
The Origin of Titoras:
Titoras is another relative. Unlike the other two, Titoras knew what he was and refused to accept the responisbilty. He ran for most of his life, planet to planet, city to city. Some say it was because his history, others say he was just being selfish. However, finally the jedi caught up with him and talked to him about his choice. Join the order and become a powerul and wise jedi, or run for the rest of his life. Titoras chose the first option and soon saw his sillyness and mistakes he had made. In time, Titoras became a powerful sage wielding telekinetic abilites. After
much research, Titoras found others of his family and tracked down Tomius (his nephew) and Xald. Because he spent most his life running he also does not know what happened to the rest of the family. In time Titoras taught them of their heritage (what little he knows) the three now work to rebuilt their name and their honour.
