Hello,
My character's name is "Kola Vasse" (currently known only as "Kola" until I earn my legacy name), and I'm interested in joining this guild because I'm looking for a group of cordial, articulate RPers to engage with on my server; "Lord Calypho". I seek to be among those who appreciate the rich history of the Jedi and all that they stand for, what they represent, and aspire to convey those notions whilst having fun in what I think will be a very enjoyable game for many years to come.
I work full-time, on a night shift so I'm likely to only be available in the early mornings to afternoons from around 10:00 AM to around 2:00 or 3:00 PM GMT on weekdays. Though I should be on quite a lot on Sundays and can potentially play well into the early morning of Mondays.
My character is a Jedi Guardian as I feel that, mechanically, it's the best representation of a Jedi Knight skilled in Lightsaber combat but also possessing an aptitude in conventional, practical Force techniques. I would like to try the Jedi Consular class, mostly for the story, but I can't reconcile the heavy skew towards, as I see it - detached at range combat with too great an emphasis on Force techniques. Even the Jedi Shadow advanced class; I'm loathe to use the Double-Bladed Lightsaber and wished it possessed the skills the Jedi Knight does. Ultimately, I'm of the mind that the two classes should've never been made separate and will probably hold that view till the end of time...
My character; Kola is a shrewd individual with a strong set of principles and a warm yet quiet demeanor. Born on Kuat but being handed into the custody of the Jedi soon after, the Order is the only family he's known. While eloquent and soft-spoken to a fault these qualities belie his strength of conviction and utter devotion to the ideals of the Jedi Order and their service to the Force. A hardliner on matters of discipline, justice and the role of the Order and, by extension, its members, Kola can usually be found in agreement with the Jedi Council whose wisdom he trusts emphatically.
While he constantly seeks a peaceful diplomatic outcome to any encounter his notion of what's "right" and "wrong" are not up for debate and he struggles to appreciate the "grey" in situations where he can clearly see "black" and "white". Ironic in that his preferred philosophy in combat is Form VI: Niman - the most fluid of techniques yet, for someone competent in its application he's incredibly rigid in his mindset.
I've written a full bio, which I'd be happy to share, all that remains to be said is that I hope you give my application fair consideration and if you see me online, regardless of your decision, feel free to say "Hello".
