Fox news? Of all the sources you could pick you go with the worst news service in America. lol

Sent a letter to my senators and my representative in congress though. Hopefully the SOPA and PIPA bills don't pass.

Never heard of fox news before over here, so I thought I'd have a look  :P
Looks ok to me,  but I wouldn't know  :)

Hope they don't start with those stupid laws. My computing teacher said they could shut down so many websites, even ones like facebook and youtube.

Youtube would be essentially gone if they pass the laws. Also wikipedia would have TONS of issues. If any site they even link to (like in the citations) has any pirated material or infringes on any copyright, wikipedia can get in big trouble and could be taken down.

Fox news = super conservative/right-wing and biased news source (their slogan "Fair and Balanced" is a joke)

Yeah.

My teacher said that they could proberly shut down website where anyone quotes something like a song or line from a film.

They would too much power over the internet in my opinion. And they could abuse that power.

This is a good video explaining about it!

ahh people and their power trips.. problem is ... money. money is the root of all evil, and now its even putting a damper on knowledge. Its already destroyed honor and it'll find more morals and ethics to destroy.

Its a continuing cycle, and it will never stop. Mainly because people care about that piece of paper or metal with some dudes face on it.. that in death wont mean squat and only brings on more ignorance to the important things in life, like love, friendship, family, honor and loyalty.

Shut down wikipedia or cut off this guys medicare thats 80 years old and cant work for benefits to take care of the heart condition he has.

Sorry way off subject, but guess if you look at it. Its all the same thing.. peoples greed and need for control.

I would totally agree.

A couple of days ago I found a very nice article about game design, intellectual property and Minecraft. Check-it out!

Yeah, megavideo was shut down. A lot of people are really angry. Anonymous (the hacker group) attacked US government websites like the FBI, and white house and they were even shut down for a little while.

But back to the Wikipedia SOPA thing, I got an email back from my congressman and he said that he actually changed his mind on the bill due to what his constituents (like me!) said to him! So my email actually had an effect! (Representative) Democracy in action! :)

They must of been really angry to do that.

Good for you!  :) Shows that atleast one MP listens to the public.

(Btw how did that paper go on Sunday?)

I was surprised at his response, but in a good way! I actually got a response for all three of my congressmen/senators, but the senators both said they liked the bill. The Representative was one of the co-sponsors and withdrew his co-sponsorship though!

Almost done with my paper now. Just wrote most of the rest of it a few minutes ago. I still have to do my take-home final though.
