Don't see why, you just won't get to play until you have it downloaded.

I would get it as early as possible though, the servers will probably be slow once early access starts.

It depends if I can download it on one computer and transfer it to another as my new pc will only be ready next friday

hm i cant seem to log in on the game client to start patching. It says that the login service is currently unavailable. Anyone else got this problem?

Thankfully it doesn't take long to download the game/patches, I remember when I first downloaded World of Warcraft felt like it took forever - though I did download at sometime after the release of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion so there was plenty of patches by then.

I think they will let you know at 7 AM on the day you get into early access by email. Once you get the email you can start immediately I think.
