We signed a player who actually will play hard for the club rather than having a play who, while he is one of the best in the world, never looked like he cared after 2008-2009 or was injured. Carroll is also much much tougher than Torres and won't just sit on the ground and pout when he doesn't get his way. While I'm not happy about losing the Torres we had a few years ago, exchanging the Torres we've had for a year and a half for two young, great players, seems like a pretty good deal. Luis Suarez also looks like he will be very good for us. We are finally starting to look like a tougher team.
We overpaid for Carroll because it was the last day of the window, they had no time to get someone to replace him, and he's very young and english. If the owners and Dalglish think its worth it, then who am I to doubt them.
