Demoting Stosk!
By far, the never ending BS that came from the Council voting to demote him because Master Dim was upset. I was semi-new in the C and Stosk had done something to offend Master Dim and there was a vote to demote him. After speaking at length with PannTher, I ended up voting against any sort of discipline vs Stosk (I actually used to like the kid).
However, his "outspoken" ways continued, and his next move was to riddicule me on the forums and Master Dim jumped ALL over it. He rubbed my face in the fact that I had been one of the votes that said NOT to demote him to teach him a lesson.
At this point, if I had voted to demote him I would have shifted the vote and it would have been PURE revenge, so I still did not want to vote to demote him. However this time, even Pann who was Stosks friends voted for it. It was a unanimous vote (excluding mine) and Stosk was to be demoted.
Master Dim made sure it was me who informed him or this, and of course I was vilified for the rest of my life as having been the one who demoted Stosk. Since the Council's votes were not to be revealed (EVER), I was not at the time able to explain who had pushed for it, and who had voted in favor of it.
What ticked me off was Pann knowing all this, but sitting back and allowing Stosk to grow to hate me when he himself had voted for it.
The Stosk thing was the beginnings of my rule as a Master Menelaos and you should all know the rest. I was never able to shake that image and to be honest, I didn't mind as it took pressure off the others so they could help lead the clan in peace.
I did try to explain this to Stosk a few times, but you know...he always thought I was lying.
