Hey guys,

For those who don't know, I joined the Red Patch Boys (a supporters group for our soccer team in Toronto) and decided to get into the banner team. Since last year, I've been pushing for for a Star Wars banner and finaly we did one for the home opener.

Since then, it has been in Newspapers (The Star, the Sun online)
Internet (Yahoo... plus column in Yahoo Sports)
TV (ESPN)

And now that link I posted above.

I feel I represented both JO and the RBP when I see this banner. I was at the game and I have to tell you, I loved seeing my idea up there and thought of you guys.

Fully intend to. I'm looking at an increase in hours coming up the next while at work so if not this season I'll be at one next season. How much do tickets run, anyways?

Cheap!

They can range, but last year I went to the final home game, and while I was standing outside of Gate 3 waiting for my friend with our tickets, I saw MANY people going up to the scalpers and selling their tickets for $10-$20 (tickets that have a ticket value of $40-$50).

You can, about 3-4 hours prior to a game, buy tickets at the box office for like $55 or so depending on where you are sitting.

I get my tickets from RPB members not going to a game, they usually sell them to me for less than face value (because I know they paid less!!).

I may have an extra ticket for a game later in the year if you are interested...you wouldn't be sitting by me since the ticket is in another section, but I'd give it to you for free. Just need to confirm what games I am getting. (reason I woudl have extra is I have a pair a friend offered me to go with the gf, if I get those for a game for which I already bought a single, the single will be available)

Sounds great. Let me know and I'll try and get work off for that day. I... don't remember where FC plays exactly so I'll have to remember to catch an early bus to give me time to find the stadium but that's neither here nor there.

Either way I'll probably be down for a game this season so I'll be sure to let you know which if not the game you speak of. I've been to a few Ti-Cat games (three this past season) and I want to go to an FC game, Raps game, and Bulldogs game (Hamilton) in the next year or so.

No sport in Toronto compares to a TFC game in atmosphere. The fans are actually FANS and they cheer the whole time win or lose.
They play out of BMO Field down at the Ex.

The GO station is almost right next to the stadium.

I will let you know about the ticket once I confirm the other 2.

No point going to a Jays game...not anytime soon. They raised their prices in order to maintain the "integrity" of their prices from last ear. Seems some season ticket holders were unhappy with the special promotions that allowed fans to buy tickets for like $15 for a Jay game. I can understand that from their perspective as it would piss me off to find out the guy sitting next to me paid $15 when I paid $45 when I bought my seasons, but now the Jays are pulling in 10k fans pr game....how sad.
