Well as u all know, i have been working for LucasFilm for the past few years. This time around we have another set SW related comming out of sketch cards.
For those who dont know about sketch cards. Topps.Inc does and has been doing trading cards for decades, Recently they have started doing Sketch Cards. Artist are invited to hand sketch, draw, paint on individual sketch cards that are packaged as is right into a packet. NO reprints, recreation, but an original sketch of one of your favorite artist. This time around the number of cards was made less as they wanted the cards to have more value and they got very selective with the artists involved.
Around 50 artists will be involved drawing between 50-200 cards each. The cards will be available world wide. The average change of getting a card is 1 per every 2 cases. Each case contains 48 packets, Each packet has around 7 cards. So its on out of every 692 cards out there that youll get one.
These become collectibles and are sold on ebay as high as $1200,oo for ONE card depending on the artists. Mine have been sold between $30 - $600, depending on character, theme and set.
The clone wars is out latest set, and these are a preview of some of the cards i did....
