Difficulties

I've been trying too install, Populous the Beginning and Theme Hospital, but it says.. 16 bit subsystem: The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.. But when I click the disc in My Computer it lets me play it and all that, just not save it and it doesn't work as good as it would installed.. I don't know what it's all about, I've tried all different things, any idea what to do? thanks.

Right click on the shortcut > Properties > Put the compatability on Windows 98, see if it works.

Guess the game is -too- old for your PC. Maybe unsupported by the new directX.

That does sound like it's too old.  You could try emulating an older version of Windows to see if that will work... it would be a little laggy if you did get it to work.

I went looking around some websites, and found one that helped me manually install it, and download the patches etc. It works alright now, but I couldn't do the same with Theme so I ordered a XP verison one now. Thanks for all the help though :D.
