Ok... so, for those of you willing to help..

I have a Samsung HDTV that I use as my monitor.

I have an ATI Radeon x1950 Pro with dual DVI connections. I have a (d-sub) vga cable connected to a dvi/vga adapter and then connected to the vga input in the TV.

What I've heard though is that getting a DVI/HDMI cable and plugging it into the HDMI port on the TV is better because ti doesn't convert to analog and back to digital. So, I spent $30 and got one of those cables, but the pictures sucks compared to the PC (vga) input.

Can anyone shed some light onto this as why... I've looked everywhere and can't seem to get any info on it...

Yea... no idea on this one.  I don't work with TVs much/at all.  My solution: use what you had before with the vga/dvi hookup if it was better.

How about you call the helpdesk of Samsung? Maybe they could help you? Just a hint. Because the word consists out of 'help' and 'desk'...

Shouldnt this be moved to technical help discussion because these(master pann's problematique posts) never are but when someone else post similiar posts to here e.g my fear game not working, it gets moved there....

$30 poor quality cables mean poor quality pictures. Buy some more expensive ones, $100 or so.
