(name) Sho'Hen - Manhood.

It had been a long time since Jorka Sho'Hen had set foot on his home planet. Eight years had passed since the young Jedi had felt the warm breeze of Haruun Kal's atmosphere. The all to familiar smell, that was always present on this part of Haruun Kal's surface was a nice greeting to Jorka's arival, as well as nice reminder to his childhood days.

Jorka took a deep breath filling his lungs with the pleasent air of which his home planet was famous for, then exhailed it back out into the open. It was quite a walk to his destined location, but Jorka had plenty of time to admire the Jungle of which he had vague memories of. Not many people traveled to Haruun Kal, its Jungles we're considerd dangerous to outsiders. Only those of the Korun tribe could withstand its posioness enviroments that were filled with parasites and persistent fungi that were capable of crippling machinery and people alike. However, to the Korunnai people this was home. All Korunnai people could touch the Force, its what kept them alive in the harsh Jungles of Haruun Kal. The Korunnai people needed to use the force in order to sense the dangers of the forest, if they didnt have this ability, they would surely perish.

The young Jedi's mind was calm while on his home planet, the force touched the Jungle greatly, it allowed one to calm his mind, and many Jedi traveled here to seek knowledge, and peace. It was said that once the great Jedi Master Mace Windu perished, he transformed all of his force energy into the planets Jungles. Combined with the power of the Kuronnai people, it allowed them to keep control of the Jungles. This was never proven true, but the Korun people noticed a big difference in the Jungles once his life was taken. He was a part of the Korunnai people, and his death was a big shock to them all.

Jorka had been walking for a  good while now, he wasent far off of his destination and he was becoming more and more nervous at the thought of seeing everyone again. He could feel their energy becoming closer, so he knew he wasent far off. Suddenly something startled him. A large carriage rattled out of the tall tree's that suduced the Jungle from much sunlight. Storming to a halt Jorka recognized the man standing in the carriage of which the akk dogs were toeing.

"Your late" said the man

"What, i thought i was-"

"Why am i not suprised?" the man said with a hint of laughter in his speech

"So im glad someones happy to see me" Jorka Chuckled

"haha of course i am!" replied the man " we were begining to think you whernt coming"

Jorka climbed aboard the carriage and breathed a sigh of relief.

"You know you startled me there, i was just about to reach for my lightsa-"

"A Jedi now eh?" the man interupted "I didnt know thats what you were taken away for"

"Neither did I" said Jorka "I was only young, it was very confusing"

Jorka was quick to change the subjuct and decided it would be best to see how is old friend was.

"So, Josati how have you been?" said Jorka with a wide smile.

"Ive been fine, its been tough these past years though" Josati sighed heavily.

"The Balawai continue to take native species from our planet, and also we are getting frequent attacks. Its been difficult to hold them off, and we have lost many."

Jorka turned towards Jostai and put his hand on the young mans shoulder.

"He's gone isnt he, i felt it"

"Yes, you are correct. He was killed in one of the raids"

Jorka could feel the hurt and revenge deep inside Josati, loosing his brother must of been hard and Jorka fully understood. However, he could not allow Josati to keep feeling this way, as it could ultimately lead to his downfall.

"you feel hate, revenge, i can feel it within you Josati, you must not act on these emotions, for only worse will come of it. Please, listen to me, it could be fatal to your future, and the ones around you."

Josati gave him a quick nod and turned to face the Akk dogs at the front of the Carraige. He shouted a quick command in the Korunnal native langauge and they quickly turned the carraige around and set back off into the depths of the forest.

After traveling for only a few minutes, Jorka and Josati had breached the outskirts of one of the many Korunnai towns. All the memories were flashing back to Jorka, the distinctive places he used to play around as a young child were still in tact, although worn, things did not feel any different from his child hood days. Kid's were playing, just like he used to, mothers and children were laughing, fathers were playing their role amoung the place as "security" for the younger ones as well as the mothers and wifes.
But Jorka could sense that the young ones were shaded from the more violent activitys that were taking place.

Moving on deeper into the village, Josati shouted out another command in Koronnal to the Akk dogs, and they instantly changed their direction, sending Jorka and Josati down an all to fimiliar road for Jorka. He knew exactly were the two where heading, and Jorka understood that his time had come.

"You know when my father called me back to Haruun Kal, i didnt think it was for the trial of man-hood" said Jorka with a suprised voice.

"You are ready Jorka, although younger than the recommended age, you have become far more stronger and wiser than even the wise Elder Kusato."

"I would have to disagree there, he has far more knowledge than me, he has learned a lot over the years, and he even trained with a Jedi Master once." Jorka replied with a calm voice.

"Maybe so but he has become very weak, he is suffuring from many illnesses right now, the Jungle has been rash lately, and he has not been able to keep it on a secure level for awhile."

Jorka started to wonder why Josati doubted the abilitys of an Elder who has been the saviour of the Korunnai tribes so many times. Jorka was born a Korun, and although not being around them all of his life, he knows it is unacceptable to talk about a fellow Korunnai in such a way.

The Akk dogs came to a skidding halt without even being commanded to stop. It  was obvious they knew their way around, besides, they are used continuesly through out the day. Josati hopped out of the Carriage and landed hard on the tough ground below his feet. It was often thought strange as to how the Kuron tribes were based in the Jungles on Haruun Kal, but the land they inhabitted did not consist of grass and plants that one would think it should be. Instead, the land the Korun spent most of the time on, was hard muddy and desert like, people say this is due to wear and tear, as people walk on it every day on a constant basis.

They both made their way into a round shaped stone building that was the head office of the Korun tribe. Walking inside Jorka could sense much energy coming from its wall. Banners were hanging from the walls, many of past tribe members or famous Korunnai people.

"Come on Jorka we dont have time for sight seeing, their waiting" said Josati who made it clear we were in a hurry.

Jorka snapped out of his little day dream and turned his head towards Josati, giving him a quick nod, Josati led them through many corridors that seemed rather endless. Finally reaching a room that looked similar to a council room, they both entered and bowed deep and respectfully before the Elders of one of the many Korun tribes.

Jorka counted six, he regonized three of them, Elder Kusato was sitting oposite to where Jorka was standing. Sitting to Kusato's left he could see a good friend of his fathers. However he could not remember his name. Then oposite that man on Jorka's left he could see his father. His father gave him a quick smile and nodded and then Elder Kusato began.

"Do you know why you have been called here son of the Sho'Hen name"

"Yes Elder Kusato"

"You are now considerd old enough to take your trial of man-hood which if you pass, we will grant you complete indepence from the Korun tribe and the way you live. It shall all be up to you, as long as you complete the trial" Kusato seemed very intense and serious at this moment, making sure Jorka fully understood.

"I understand" Jorka replied with a firm voice.

The leading council member of the Korun tribe swallowed and then moved about in his chair until he felt comfortable enough to speak.

"Your trail shall be simple, i hope, for your kind."

What does he mean, my kind?

It quickly came to Jorka's attention he meant the Jedi. This came as a bit of a relief and shock to him, as about 50 percent of people that took the Manhood trial, did not return. It was always different for each person, to challenge their inner strengths and abilitys. This is what made them stand out and it needed to be tested in order to prove that persons worth of independance.

"You shall travel into the forest, retrive the leaf of repair and bring it back to us."

Elder Kusato coughed then continued

"You know where to find the leaf and it shouldnt be of much difficulty to retrive. Return immediately once you have found it."

What did they need the leaf for? anyone can get it easily, there had to be more to it. They have been stripped of many men recently due to the tribe wars, so its understanable it will be needed, but why Jorka?

Jorka straightend up and addressed the council.

"But my Elders, is this not simply to, easy?"

The young Jedi knew it was not a good idea to question the elders on such an important event that depended on many things for Jorka. Elder Kusato simply replied,

"Return when you have it"

Jorka bowed deeply before his elders with great confusion and a puzzling look on his face. He started for the door leading out and continued to think there must be something behind this.

"Oh before you go, your lightsaber please"

Jorka unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and placed it on the floor. He would not need it anyway, the beasts of the Jungle were controlled by the council with the use of the force. He glanced at his father who showed no sign of expression on his face, then turned away and headed for the door.
