Um... well actually they're machines built on the scale of nano-meters, not electric bugs lol.  The thought that you can send a swarm of them out and they can resessemble or take apart anything with some simple instructions is still science fiction, however as we create better methods for stability and control of these nano machines it will eventually become feasible.  I doubt nanotechnology is in use here.

The more interesting part of this is not how small it is, but the idea of extreme flexibility on a very thin surface without breaking the circuit.  Fun stuff.

meaning going skateboarding and worrying when you fall over your phone is gonna get crushed is a thing of the past (if they make this stuff into phones)

I def wont by it right away even when it is affordable, because I am one to let things work all the bugs out, plus we know nothing of possible side effects not saying this can cause cancer like the first cell phones could, but think about it, most technology people jump on always has bugs, and one can never tellt he detriments it has on society, this is called an anarchist grace period to wait to see what goes wrong with the product

Whatever happened to those massive satellite phones you could club people with?  If you fell on one you would most likely die :o

Eh, I'd rather not have a phone on me while doing something like running or roller blading.  Too heavy, it screws up the motions and throws off your coordination.

Yeah i wouldnt carry a phone with my anyway if i was doing a extreme sport or something.

i bring my cell because it is like a home phone, so if im out doing something rollerblading or just bike riding, i let it sit in tyhe car, or if i have a backpack on ill put it in there
