He wants to play with joy and pride, so we took him away from Merseyside! Fernando Torres, Chelsea's Number 9!

I can't wait 'till Sunday.

Favian

Couldn't you at least come up with your own tune? lol I'm sure he'll love the plastic flags.

I can't wait for next season. Especially if Kenny stays. We finally look like we want to play again.

He wasn't going to win with Liverpool and this is a great move for himself.

If your club had gone out and gotten someone from another team of quality and recognition, you would have been pumped about it. You win some, you lose some...it was your turn to lose.

He's a great player, and he'll do very well at Chelsea.

Calling professional athles traitors for doing what is best for themselves is an inexplicable argument in my opinion. If the club does "what is best for the club" everyone nods in agreement. But if the player does this, well then there has to be something wrong.

As if the teams actually hold any loyalty to the athlete!
The whole notion of loyalty is a pipe dream that fans cling to when something didnt go right, but be clear about something...no team out there trully has any loyalty for any one of their players and will sell them for the right price. Thus, when a player leaves for the right price...dont be surprised.

You'll get over it eventually ;)

Menelaos

Its more that he acted like Liverpool was the only club he ever wanted to play for (at least in England) and all the stuff he said. Then he handed in a request with 3 days left. I definitely understand him wanting to leave and go win stuff. He's never won anything with a club team except a spanish second division. If he had left for spain or italy, I would have been fine with it (as long as there was time to get a replacement). But he left for a rival without really leaving enough time to get a replacement. That meant we had to do the same thing with Carroll, except he turned in his transfer request on the last day. I feel bad for Newcastle, but I'm really excited about him. I'm already getting over it (until we play Chelsea at least). haha

I'm so happy Suarez can play today! I can't wait to see him!!

With Spain FC? I thought spain was a nation?

He's won stuff internationally, but not with a club. He wants to win the European Cup too. And he probably wouldn't be too upset about a premier league too.

While it would be nice to win those, none of those even compare in prestige.

WORLD CUP - best of the best playing the best of the best.
All others might want to claim they are just as important, the truth is they are not.

I'm not saying anything bad about the world cup. haha Obviously its the biggest thing to win. But I imagine he would want to win something with a club too.
