"I have a bad feeling about this", Knight Lei said to Knight Xzar. Xzar noded at Knight Lei and replied in Shyriiwook.

Meanwhile in the hangar, a body lay on the floor cold and abadoned. He lay there in his cloth and an old artifact in his hand.

"Pathetic jedi. Why do they allways think they can win?", said a man wearing a black and gray robe. In his hand was an old artifact as well, but it didn't look like the body's on the floor.

Several soldiers marched out of the aircraft in the hangar - looking allmoste like imperials stormtroopers, but they wore black armor instead of white.

Padawan Rink appears out of his room after waking up late.

He's weary and wondering how in the world someone could infiltrate the Jedi Temple.

He quickly grabbed his belt and training saber and headed to the Garden, hoping to get anyway from any danger, since he surely could not take on any groups of soldiers or a Dark Jedi at such a young age and neither should any other of his fellow Padawans.

Zez-Kai sacastically said, "Wondeful..just wonderful..."

"I'll keep watch over the younglings," said Master Cei Vookto, prepping the dojo sector for lock-down, "You find any other masters you can and figure out what's going on."

Master Cei Vookto turned to calm a crying youngling as I stepped out of the room and activated my switch for the lockdown. Master Cei Vookto quickly took a head count and once he was sure all the younglings were there, he flipped his switch and the lockdown activated; all doors and windows into the dojo were magnetically sealed, requiring a jedi master's override to unseal.

I quickly made my way to the security sector. I met few people in the halls, just the occassional padawan making way for the garden.

Once I was at the security boards, I went to the live-feed camera monitors and scanned them for anything. Sure enough, the alarms for the Hanger Sector and Dojo Sector were flashing red. The Dojo had gone off because that automatically happens whenever a lockdown is in effect, but the hanger wasn't on lockdown.

I switched to detail mode on the consul, which brought up several images of the hanger. There was an unidentified stock-freighter sitting the hanger and troops had filed out and were securing the hangar. A dark figure stood in the center, searching through something on the floor.

"Computer, scan target and try to identify." I said, pointing at the dark figure. I took out my commlink and signalled in on GR-58's channel. "GR, get down here now, I might want your help."

The computer flashed, signalling that the search had finished. Soon there were a number of pictures filing up onto the holo-screen, each displaying background information and pictures of several different men, each looking only slightly like the one in the hanger. Oddly enough, there were only blanks on the background information.

"Target scanned. No known identification. Scans of target suggest non-human biology; nitrogen levels excede the fatal level for humans. Traces of light metal detected in a virtually non-existant skeletal structure. No species match." the computer rattled off. I had no idea what to think. Then I caught a quick look at something the man was holding...it was like a glass pyramid, but it glew red through it's obsidian surface.

"Computer, identify object." I commanded while again pointing at the object. At that moment, GR-58 came hovering in behind me.

"Object is unidentified. Possibly an ornate explosive device or data-holder." the computer replied.

"That's a holocron." GR said, hovering over my shoulder.

I stood looking at the screen, waiting for the figure to reveal the object again. In a moment, the figure turned and took out the object again, this time holding it close to his face, as if to gaze into and listen intently.

"You're right, GR...that's a holocron...but not like the ones we found in our research on Dantooine and Telos..." I said.

"Agreed, Karr. That one has more resemblence to the broken ones we found in the Korriban excavation site." GR replied.

"...so it does..." I said, staring at the screen...I was unsure of what to think of the whole situation, but I had a good idea of what the object was...and I didn't like it...

''Have you found anything yey, Master?" I said whilst sensing the area to see if they had left the hangar yet.

"Not much, however we can not identify anything of the person who seems to be in charge... He is holding some sort of holocron though...," replied Master Karr.

"Alright, contact me as soon as you have found anything," I answered, turning of my comlink.

Then, out of nothing, all Jedi in the temple were shocked, as a huge bom of Dark Force energy filled the entire temple.
I heard several younglings starting to crie again, and as I turned around to them, I heard loud bang near the dojo door. I turned around to see...

"Yes and no...the man himself, I feel nothing special from...but the holocron seems to suck the light around it away...I really hope it's not what I think it is...I've never seen a working on-" I stopped abruptly! My breath was gone! I felt a sudden sweep of anger, hate, despair, and pain over me, like a wave of dark emotion...the darkside had just pulsed...and it came from near the Dojo Sector!

But then...the pulse retracted just as quickly as it had come...I stopped...and waited for another, but this time I was focusing on the nature of the pulse.

There came another one, equally strong as the first! But the pulse was odd...it wasn't the same kind of hot feeling that comes from a living creature in the darkside. Instead, this had a cold indifferent feeling, like the words of a book rather than the words of a voice.

Again, I walked slowly, waiting for another pulse so I could listen in greater detail...

BAM! Another pulse! Again the exact same strength and manner! But this time I was able to listen carefully...I heard soft words being muttered in a million voices and languages, overlapping with each but saying the same message. Some voices were screams, others were utterings; some were cries in tears, others were seething verbal knives...but each sounded like it was over a great distance and echoed over miles...as if the dead were speaking...

"Get back inside!!" He yelled.

"What is this all about?" I asked.

A silence moment arrived... then we heard a scream.

"What was that?!" I asked? I started to run towards the fields where the scream came from...

Knight Lei and Padawan Rink went back inside together with 3 more Jedi to protect the Jedi from whatever is trying to hunt them down. While 2 other Jedi Knights went after me.

''What is going on here...'' He muttered, walking towards the door he opened it and looked outside.

Alot of the Jedi were running about, some were packing their stuff small belongings and their equipment, something had got this temple in a panic. He opened his comm-link directly to Master Suranos back at the JoA Academy.

''Zerith.. When you get this message gather out students and head to the *<JO>* temple.. something is wrong.. very wrong.. I sense a dark prescence but i don't think it is as simple as it seems...'' With those last words he closed the comm-link and gripped his Saber hilt. As he called on the lift he looked to his right and saw the worry on a young girls face, tears were escaping her eyes.. This was possibly the first time she had been through something this scarey. With this in mind, he entered this lift with a little more determination, as little a picture in his head of the girl crying, he knew he had to help.

'' Master Karr... I'm on my way.. what is your location?'' He spoke over the comm-link.

Zez pointed into the dark woods... It was still dawn and the woods were dark and easy to get lost.

A few gun shots came across us.

The 2 jedi activated their sabers and deflected many shots...

I activated my saber aswell and started to help the 2 jedi.

The shots became more and more... and it was unstopable. We couldn't see the shooters. But we couldnt hold that position.

"Run" yelled one of the Jedi

And the other Jedi got shot before he even finished the sentence.

I grabbed Zez by his arm and started to run with Force Speed back towards the temple...

Meanwhile in the gardens Knight Xzar called for Padawan Xodus who was near the door. The Zabrak rushed over Padawan Zez checking him for injurys. He had been shot, and Padawan Xodus said to the others that he needed to come to the medical center.

"I can't get there alone" Xodus said.

"I'll help you" Ekul replied
"And I'll come too" Tao said

"I'll go find more jedi" Zunin said

"The JO could handle this couldn't they?
Dal'vahn is still very young, perhaps he is over-exaggerting the situation..." he thought coldly to himself.

The strange dreams the Zabrak had been experiencing lately had made him nervous of such drastic actions.
Glancing over his shoulder he could see Tzu Yan Feng practicing his saber techniques on an imaginary foe. His face was blank with concentration.

Zerith began bouncing on the spot, feeling agitated. The students were training diligently and things were finally running smoothly, he could not risk having all the students drop their studies, leaving the academy defensless...

"No... I won't leave it undefended again.. Not this time.."

Zerith picked a stone from a planter at his side and threw it at Tzu Yan, hitting him on the back of the head. A smirk spread on Zerith's face as Tzu Yan span round with a comical look of confusion. The Apprentice rubbed the back of his head and looked at his Master quizingly.

"Get your things, you and I are heading to the JO Temple." said Zerith as he turned towards the hanger.

I stood, waiting for Dalvahn...

Yet another pulse...

...then another...

"This can't wait any longer!" I thought to myself as I started running to the Dojo Sector.

I opened up the large door to the hallway where I had exited the Dojo Sector...Sure enough there were troops at the door with some sort of automated battering ram. No doubt they had tried slicing into the door, but our security systems are top of the line.

They saw me and stopped in their tracks, unsure of what to do. They didn't raise their weapons off the bat...so I decided to do what any gentleman in my shoes would do.

I strolled right up to them as if I was on a Sunday stroll. A couple had their hands on their guns; the entire group was nervous.

"Evening, fella's." I said aloud to them, which only confused them more. "I don't wish to impose, but you're kind of in our home. I don't recall ever sending out invitations, and-"

"Back up, Jedi! Nice and slow!" commanded one of the troops, who had brought up his blaster.

"You could at least say 'please'." I replied, "I'd like to have a word with whoever's in charge here."

The troops were look at eachother, completely confused.

"N-Nobody talks to Reik...u-unless we c-clear it..." another troop responded.

"Oh I see..." I looked at their drawn weapons, "and something tells me you don't feel like clearing me, huh? Well, thank you gentlemen, it was a pleasure." I started to walk off in the direction of the hanger.

"HEY! WAIT! WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE-" the leader of the group yelled after me, once he realized exactly what had been going on. He fired a couple shots in midsentense, but I deflected them with my hand and gave him a light push so he fell to the ground.

The other's started to open fire, but I was already gone. As I left, I heard words like "Let him go..." and "Get the ram back up and running!"

I smiled as I walked away...go ahead and get that ram back up and working...if you REALLY want to break into a room with a jedi master waiting on the other side...

I got to the hanger shortly. I saw the carier ship that had landed, and a couple troops (but they didn't really last very long), but nothing else of significance. The man wasn't there.

"GR, get into that ship and deactivate their ignition sequence." I told GR-58 as I put away saber and the last troop fell. She hovered up the ramp and started working on preventing the ship from leaving and she started downloading the ships records and ID signature.

I wasn't sure where to go at this point; the hangar was secure, the dojo will be secure the moment they open that door...and no sign of the man or the source of the pulses.

"GR, how much longer?"

"Could take a little while longer."

"Alright..."

Then one of the doors opened in the hanger. I turned to look. As I turned, I had flash-image in my head of what I was about to see; the dark man stand there, with hundreds of Sith Lords standing behind him...

Upon actually looking, however, I saw a large war droid.

"Hello, jedi. My master cannot be here at the moment, but you need not worry." said the droid, with an almost human tone.

"That's ok, I prefer to worry." I replied, drawing my saber from my belt.

"His right arm, it's been shot badly, he needs help," said Padawan Xodus to the medical droid.

"Yes, Sir," said the droid but not before injecting a syringe into my arm causing it to numb.

I watched in horror as the droid cut away at my skin...he said, "It needs to be amputated and repaired robotically."
I replied,"No..you cannot do that. That is my strong arm; it was hard enough training, and now I'll have to do it all over again"

Padawan Tao Kin consoled me saying it had to be done and that many have had robotic arms and still managed to perform greatly, after all Knight Xzar-Bin has one and he manages to keep his performance excelling.

Padawan Xodus asked,"What happened out there my friend?"

and I replied,"I was following Padawan Rink but I lost him and was ambushed by some troopers and a large droid, they shot at me until I could not deflect it any longer and I fell into the ground. Luckily my Master, Xzar-Bin, came to my aid and took me back here. What is going on here...?"

The large war droid unleashed a surprising flurry of blaster fire! It had rapid-fire heavy blasters of some sort on each arm, able to move independantly!

I deflected a couple, but knew that I didn't want to get pinned down, so I started to circle my opponent, who had been approaching me and had reached the center of the hanger. I dodged most of the shots, deflecting a couple. The droid appeared to have some sort of absorbative shielding, causing the returned vollies to just sink into the shields...I was AMAZED at how fast the reflexes of this droid were! They were barely droid-like at all! Either this was a REALLY expensive wardroid, or it wasn't a droid at all.

I kept up the circling, slowly getting closer and closer; the droid kept doing the same repeating blasterfire, I was almost positive it was just an expensive droid. I was now less than ten feet from it, and I lunged in for a crippling strike!

My attack didn't make contact! Instead I found the hilt of my saber STUCK to the forarm of the droid, which was now laughing at me!

"Hahahaha! Stupid jed-" I didn't really hear the rest because the droid used its other arm to backhand me about 20 feet away, but I could fill in the blanks.

Then the droid leaned towards me in a taunting manner, and suddenly, the center of the chest plate openned up, to reveal a Gamorian head! The head smiled at me...

"You really thought I was a droid, didn't you? Hahaha!" came an electrical voice that rattled from the metal hunk rather than the face. "Oh dear! And it seems you've lost your saber!" The android taunted as it took my saber and placed it in a compartment in his chest.

"That saber's very valuable to me. May I please have it back?" I asked politely with a bow.

".......HAHAHAHAHA! Polite until the end I see! A jedi's LIFE is his WEAPON! And you have none!...So therefore, why no LIFE!" he open fired on me.

I ran around the room, avoiding fire. The android seemed slightly surprised, but only became more persistant.

As I ran, I picked up a peice of junk off the floor and THREW it at the android. Naturally, the android ducked and avoided the blow.

"Was that supposed to hit m-" he stopped because at that moment the junk hit the switch on the wall and lights went out in the hanger.

"No..." I replied and I silently climbed the rafters.

As Dal'vahn made his way to the Hanger, he could see many troopers trying to break though the main hanger doors. He had quickly made his way around the outside of the temple to the front, due to the secruity lock there was no way to get to Karr from inside, thats why he had taken a while. Once through the front door, Dal'vahn moved deadly silent and quick towards the hanger, behind the pillars out of site.

Once there he called the lift and waited before entering, once inside he took the saber hilt in his head and waited. As the lift reached the Hanger it grew very dark, so Dal'vahn quickly stepped out. He could hear in the distance heavy steps moving slowly around the hanger, and he could sense Karr was inside this Hanger as well.

''.....Master Karr?'' Dal'vahn called out.

After a long pause.... BLASTERS came out of the dark from two centre points straight at him, Dal'vahn ignited his light blue blade and moved around deflecting each bullet. He tried aiming a few bullets back towards this thing, but it only made a soft dent and no real damage.

''Well that was stupid Dal'vahn...'' He thought to himself.

With a quick step, Dal'vahn deflected the last bullet before taking a huge leap out of the line of fire disengaging his saber he hid within the darkness of the hanger.

''Ah! Then there were two... Thanks for dropping by'' The machine said.

''No problem, always happy to meet a new face..'' Dal'vahn replied.

'Seems we have a comedian within this temple.. You won't be laughing when i'm through with you..'' It said, with a serious tone.

''We shall see about that you hunk of junk..'' Dal'vahn replied, just as serious.

From where Dal'vahn was standing he used his force power to try and see Karr, once he spotted the Jedi master, he knew he had to get to him. So Dal'vahn began silently climbing the rafters towards Karr.

Tao and I quicky spun around and deflected bolt after bolt to allow the medical droid to push Zez-Kai's bed out the back elevator to the bunker. When he reached safety Tao and I hurried back to take the second elevator. The swich for the elevators was behind very strong armor so you had to force activate them. This insured that the troops couldn't reach them. Atleast for a while.

Being the only one who knew the way through the bunker, I led everyone down the maze of hallways that connected the bunkers under each section of the temple. I led everyone into the emergency hanger (where I store my ship incase something such as this happens). My ship, a large (but very fast) "freighter" (heavily modified ofcourse) was sitting there, waiting for us. I punched code into the pad inside the hull to let everyone in. When they were in I used my commlink to send a message to my old master.

"Master, I am readying my ship to transport everyone I can get to safety." I told him.

"Why do you always pick the worst times to say something?" Master Karr Xon said, sounding out of breath.
"Relay this message to Master Cei, so he can lead the younglings out with you."

"Yes Master!" I replied

"Master Cei are you there?" I asked.

"I'm in a tight spot right now, but if its important go ahead." He replied.

"It is important, I have readied my ship in the emergency hanger to transport the wounded and younglings to safety"

"I will be there as soon as I can." He replied.

I could hear blaster fire in the background, but also the sound of the emergency elevator activating.

A few moments later a group of scared younglings appeared and I hurried them into my ship.

"Should we take off or wait for anyone else?" I asked Master Cei.

Suddenly I heard a cackle from inside the basement.

"Go now Ekul!" Master Cei yelled. "I will stay to fight this menace!"

"Yes Master!"

He hurried off and as soon as the hatch was closed I took off. In orbit we encountered a some very skilled pirate fighters and prepared for battle...

"Master Karr?" I heard at the entrance of the hanger.

oh NOW he shows up! I thought

The blaster fire sounded and I watch from the rafters as I slow crept along the top. I didn't hear any hits, but Dahl was trying to deflect the shot...good luck with that I thought.

There was some dialog between the two, and then I sensed Dahl coming closer to me and climbing the rafters...darn it

The android stood quietly below. Before Dahl had entered, the android was looking around the room, but wasn't trying to really listen...I watched the android now that Dahl was in the dark too...

..and the android never took his eyes off Dahl...

But why wasn't the android shooting at Dahl?

Suddenly, I understood what was going on...The android was watching Dahl climb the rafters...which would lead him strait to me too!...the android was able to see us in the dark.

Then, just when I thought things were going to get difficult, my commlink went off!
"Master, I am readying my ship to transport everyone I can get to safety." Ekul's voice sounded from my loud commlink. The android looked directly at me and smiled. He took aim, and I leaped down, on top of him! I clenched onto him, behind the main torso, where he would have trouble reaching me.

"Why do you always pick the worst times to say something?" I said into the commlink, trying to avoid the swinging arms. "Relay this message to Master Cei, so he can lead the younglings out with you."

I heard a lightsaber light up and Dahl flew out of the rafter, cutting off one of the blasters! But then the android used the other to knock him back and stun him! I took the opportunity to grab the shoulder of the arm with the blaster and used a force technique that I had mastered in case I had to ever face my former master in battle.

I nullified the electronic movement in the circutes by increasing the resistant of the wires. The arm fell limp and useless.

I then got off and walked over and made sure that Dahl was ok. He was fine and starting to get himself composed again. The android staggered awquardly, trying to use it's useless arms.

"You think you've won, don't you? HA! Well, I've come with more than blasters!" scratched the android, as a small portable rocket luncher unfolded from it's shoulder. "I'll blow this entire hanger up, with you two in it! Ha ha ha ha!"

"That so?" I replied.

I then used the force to turn on my saber from within the android, the emerald blade shot out from the chest plate...The android had a look of shock on it's face and fell to it's knees.

"I'm sorry, but when I'm in check, I have to play checkmate." I said as my saber left the android and returned to my hand.

When it seemed as if we were through the fighters, I asked Tao how he was doing.

"Never been better, that was some great flying you did back there!" He replied.

"Even better shooting." I said with a smile, as he climbed back into the copilot's seat. "I'm going to take us to the hidden base on an asteroid moon of Couruscant. From there we can alert the council of where we are and tell the rest of the Jedi not to back to the temple, but meet at the base." When we landed, I hurried to the comms room and sent out the emergency message to all jedi telling them to meet at the base. I quickly recieved messages from the jedi who were out on missions. Going back to my ships medbay to check on Zez-Kai, I told the younglings that we were safe and more jedi were on the way.

"We've landed on the moon, Zez-Kai. I think that resting here will help you."

"Thank you Jedi Ekul, My arm is almost healed." He replied. Clearly in pain.

"I will be in the comms room trying to get in contact with the council. Tao said he is going to try to get the shield over the base up. When that is up, we will be safe."

"Thank you for your help Ekul, I will come find you when I can."

"I hope you feel better." I replied.

Back at the comms room, I sent a message to my master, saying that we had landed and were safe.

"Very good, Ekul. How is Master Cei?" He asked.

"When we were departing, someone appeared in the basement and he stayed to fight it. I will try to get in contact with him after I wait a while, I don't want to interrupt him duing such a fight." I replied.

"Tell me what he says where you get in contact with him."

"Yes Master. I will have the comms to the base relayed to my commlink, so send a message if you need me. I hope you can make it out here soon!" I said to my old master.

"I will be there as soon as I can." He said.

I went on with my business for a while, and soon Tao came back and told me that the shield was only working at half strength. "This will be enough until more Jedi arrive." I told him, trying to convince myself of this fact.

"Yes." GR's female voice through the comm. I turned the lights back on.

"When you're done, scan this thing. I want to know all I can about it..."

I stood for a moment thinking...Why did they come here? This isn't a full invasion, because the moment the Republic finds out, this place will be swarming. There wasn't any assassination attempt I could see, and why would some random group feel compelled to randomly assassinate a specific jedi? They wouldn't, it doesn't make sense. I didn't understand...what would someone be after?

"Master Karr?" Dalvahn asked, noticing how I was just standing there, "Shouldn't we get going and do something?"

"Like what? Don't be silly, we need to know what exactly is going on here before we act."

"Well, we could...um...go find Master Cei!"

"He's fine, he can handle himself...why would they just suddenly attack at night without any warning?"

"I don't know...maybe they don't like jedi?"

"Oh that really narrows it down..." I replied sarcastically, "But that's not a motive for something this organized and expensive."

"But what about all of these troops? Why would they need all of them if the jedi weren't the target?"

"These troops are poorly trained, let alone trained to fight jedi...no, the jedi were not the target."

"But what would they want? It's not like this place is a bank or something..."

I stood another moment, thinking. It isn't a bank... That thought kept running in my head. True, there weren't credits here...Suddenly, the image of the strange object that the man in dark had been carrying flashed in my head.

"Of coarse!" I proclaimed.

"What?" Dalvahn asked, jumping a little at the sudden noise.

"He's after holocrons, or artifacts in the library!"

"Who is?"

"Positive! He had something that looked like what I believe is a Sith Holocron! That's how he knew to distract us! He's not after the younglings, or the jedi, or even the temple itself! He's after the contents of the library! The dark pulses of energy must've been when the Sith Holocron was being activated!"

"You're not listening to me, are you?"

"I had seen Sith holocrons in the ruins of Korriban, but they were broken! I've never seen a working one! This is amazing! I wonder how many Sith Lords have recorded into it; probably hundreds!" I continued, thinking aloud.

"You suck. LISTEN TO ME! WHO ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!? BOOGELY BOO!"

"Uh oh. Whoever that 'Reik' guy is, he's got the advice of hundreds of Sith Lords at his fingertips! But I didn't sense anything odd in the force, aside from the holocron itself. He must not be very force sensative."

"I give up..." Dalvahn said.

"Oh come now, we must never give up! Sure he's got the help of Sith Lords, but we can stop him!" I assured him.

"Oh NOW you listen!"

"What did you say? I wasn't listening." I replied.

"*sigh*...well, how are we going to stop him? The library's a long way from here, and he's probably already gottent there! He's probably ready to leave!" Dalvahn said.

"And how is he planning on leaving, do you think?" I said as I walked up the ramp of the ship to join GR-58.

"Oh, I get it! We'll stop him here, before he leaves!"

"Nope. YOU'LL try to stop him, fail, and then let him get away. I'll be here in the ship with GR, hiding. While you distract him, I'll hide the holocrons someplace and wait to take off." I explained.

"Does this mean I need to undo my fine work?" GR said as she hovered out of the ship.

"Sorry, GR-58, but yes."

"Why do you want to stow away on the ship when you could just nail him here?!" Dalvahn replied, getting a little stressed.

"Because, I want to know where he found that holocron, if he has more artifacts, who he is, and where is he getting these troops and ships." I elaborated.

"I'm going with you." Dalvahn insisted.

"No, it'll be too hard to hide both of us. And they'll probably be expecting some resistance in the hanger. We wouldn't want to disappoint them, would we?"

"Sooo am I supposed to just pretend to take a hit or something?"

"Well, if he has back up with him, you should dispatch them quickly, making our 'Reik' friend to retreat. If he doesn't retreat, make up some bantha poodoo about the Republic being notified and on their way." I continued, "The scans said that he can't be human, and they picked up some other odd things."

"What do you mean?" Dalvahn asked.

"His chemical composure is more similar to an insect or something. I would guess that he's an alien of some unusual sort with a fake 'suit' on. So be cautious, and when you pretend to take a hit, don't remain in the open, make it look like some crates fall on you or something so that he doesn't try to finish you off."

"That's assuring." Dalvahn stated as he shifted uneasily.

"Don't worry, you'll do fine. I'll do what I can from in here, but I can't attract attention." I said.

"How long do you think until he gets here?" Dalvahn said after a moment.

"I don't know. We'll know when he's coming, as long as he has the Sith Holocron with him..."

I then turned and entered the ship. I found a good hiding spot and then crept into the cockpit to look out the viewport. Dalvahn was just sitting down, starting to meditate. I stayed low, peeking out of the cockpit once in a while...I wanted to find out what was going on with this guy and the holocron.
