A Death Not In Vein (Discussion)
« on: November 05, 2007, 01:25 AM »
This is the last of Chris' early character development. For now I have ended the Mikeman/Vroxil/Chris saga, and have left it open until I need it, which won't be until Chris becomes a Knight... If he becomes a Knight.

From now until then the stories will be smaller missions, and possible smaller character development stories but nothing to the extent of this.

I liked the story thus far, personally... And I really tried to avoid the "No, I am your father" moment of Empire Strikes Back (I think). But, there isn't much else that can be done with it, lol.

Again, trying to make it as realistic as it can be, but, there are some parts (Oracles, Chris NOT dying again) that cannot be avoided. And, for kicks, I even added in the saber styles from class. Thought Master Menelaos would like that... Though I don't know if he reads these or not, lol.

lol, I look forward to it.

I started this months ago, I have no clue why I didn't write it. Just never felt like it. Think time made it come out better.

That's complicated to answer. I've posted 4 stories in this series which I call "the Grim Chronicles". Each story has built the Vroxil and Mikeman character as well as Chris'.

This particular story, "A Death Not in Vein" is part-2 of a story I'd written previously named "A Nightmare Realized" where Chris receives a Diary which speaks about a women whose husband destroys the Order of the Force Academy.

Chris and Master Menelaos then take a shuttle to Tattooine so that Chris can finally get his answers by walking through the Academy.

So, though short, this story is complete. Though it'd make a lot more sense if people read the first part... first.

The Chris vs. Mikeman/Vroxil arc needs to wait until Chris is old enough to fight them. Right now, any conflict will mearly end in Chris' death. He needs to grow up and become stronger.

As for the next story, which'll have to do with training and possibly a mission to push along the character, I don't know when it'll be finished. I don't have an idea yet.
