So, you want to get to our JKA server? Here's what you need to know!
If you already have pretty much everything configured, here is the IP. Just jump in!

If the server appears offline, that's because it is currently a normal computer sitting on Master Scalarik's floor. Contact him if you want it online.
If you are not sure what you need for the server, read on.
Mod
The server runs a mod called japlus. While you are not required to have the plugin to connect, it has some visual features that you can only see if you have it.

Maps and other files
These are the maps the server has. The default map is jedicouncilgcx, which you most likely need to connect. These files go to your games /base folder, which in case of Steam version of JKA is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Jedi Academy\GameData\base.
Additionally, there is a strange bug on some Mac versions that require you to have each and every file that the server has before you can connect. So if you are a mac user, you might want to download them all, just in case.

All map names (excl. parenthesis) as used in-game to change maps. Only members of rank Jedi Knight or above are able to change the map via commands. Others can use the in-game voting system for same effect.
There are also other files you might want to grab, mainly saber hilts and skin packs. These go to the /base folder, as well.

Setting up
Passwords
Got renamed to Padawan multiple times? Worry not, you are just missing the clanpass. In order to be able to use our tags and talk in our clan chat on the server, you need to execute the following:
/clanpass 1234
/cp_clanPwd 1234
Replace the 1234 with the password. The first will log you in, and the second will log you in automatically on your next visit. For the passwords, check the following links (you need proper forum rank for them to work).
If you happen to be Jedi Knight or higher, you can use /amlogin 1234 to get your admin privileges. Follow the links for the passwords. Protip: bind the /amlogin command to a key, so you can do it instantly when you join.

Name
But now your name is still in all white! Here's how the colors work:
To input a different color, use ^ and then a number for a color. For example ^1*^4<^2JO^4>^1* would be shown as *<JO>*
These are the colors available:
1 = red
2 = green
3 = yellow
4 = dark blue
5 = light blue
6 = pink
7 = white
0 = black
To change your name, open the console (done by pressing shift and the key left to your number 1 key) and type in /name <yournamehere>.
Clanchat and adminchat
In JKA there is a key bound for teamchat and that chat is also used to talk to clan and admins. You need to bind a key, which changes the chat mode. The command to change is /vstr CHANGE_TEAM_CHAT. Then pressing the key you bound it to (check "binding" for instructions) will cycle through chat modes. It might not always work as you think, so make sure to test which chat you are on by typing in a dot or something.
Binding
To bind commands you use the command /bind. You can check your bindings with /bindlist. The syntax for /bind is /bind <keyhere> <commandhere>. For example /bind P vstr CHANGE_TEAM_CHAT or /bind M say May the Force be with you!. Note how you don't add the slash for the command you are binding.
