I've reinstalled it last week but still can't get it working, it just freezes and closes on the Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy part. Any help will be great.

Try this, might help (helped me):
1. Go to the GLDirect page on SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gldirect/). Download gldirect5_opensource.zip.
2. Extract the contents. Go to the gldirect5\bin\release folder.
3. Copy opengl32.dll to your GameData folder.
4. Play the game!!
downloaded from Lucasforums (http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?p=2764500)

I had something alike, what about running it with administrator rights?
I recall this error: VM on GL failed
Master Kor solution looks way smarter tho xD
-
Yea try that too, right click jamp.exe and choose 'run as administrator'.
-
I just don't understand it, because it used to work on this computer. I used to have to run it through admin but when I do it now it still freezes.

It says ...initializing QGL
failed 126
GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem when I copied that file into game data.

now try to start the game with admin privileges
-
did you patch?
-
The game was set to admin while that error showed, the game doesn't seem to be able to launch with it like this. And yeah I updated the game with the patch.

Are you running an ATi/AMD graphics card?
-
If so, and you're running catalyst 10.5 or newer, follow this guide http://forums.filefront.com/sw-jk3-problems-errors-help/425335-crash-fix-ati-catalyst-10-5-a.html#post5347773

ATI 3870X2, but the game used to work I don't know whats changed. It worked when I first bought the PC.

If you read the thread I posted it should help. If you've updated the drivers at all, that's what the problem is.
-
Nothing seems to of changed, still freezes on the same screen.

I was having the same problem and putting that file in the the jka folder and expanding it to a .dll fixed it for me.
-
did you patch?
-
Tried it all, patched, followed the guides but nothing. Still freezes in the sw jka screen. :(
Yanto
-
Have you tried re-installing?
-
Yep tried that last night as well.

And you have the atioglxx.dll from catalyst 10.4 in your "Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData" directory?
Try using the .dll file I have uploaded, this is the dll I needed to run the game when I was experiencing the same problem. Of course, make sure you extract it first.
