Well I've fully installed the game but when I start it I only hear the sounds but the screen stays black .. any thoughts on this and how to fix it ?

Patch it (JKA)? Make sure your laptop is updated? Other than that I don't know. Maybe run bootcamp and install it there?

Have you tried windowed mode?

I don't know anything about MACs, but if you can make a shortcut of some kind, where you can add startup commands, add +r_fullscreen 0 and see if that helps
 (You could also configure jaconfig.cfg, find the line "seta r_fullscreen 1, and change it to 0)


And I found this too:

After playing around with the demo, I found a work around.

After the game loads to the black menu screen, hit cmd+H to toggle the screen mode to windowed. Now everything works fine. You may need to use a four-finger swipe to switch to finder (or another app. I used textedit) Then click back into Jedi Academy. Otherwise my mouse got stuck outside the game window.  (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1031880)
