4 months ago today I went to a stupidly loud club, louder than any club I've ever been to before, in a small clubbing venue known as Casa in Stafford (which is a bit of a craphole). DJ Jules was playing, and he played it at such a stupidly loud volume (with me stupidly next to the speakers) that, 4 months later, my ears are still ringing- potentially permanently. I also wince at loud sounds, but the ringing is by far the worst bit- I never hear silence.

I want a phoenix to rise from the ashes.. You can buy amazing earplugs which aren't visible when worn and protect your ears from this potentially happening.. It's a small investment for a HUGE saving. If me getting this ringing stops however many of you in these forums from potentially putting yourself in my situation, I suppose in a way it's worth it. Still, I hope it clears up..

Anyone else have Tinnitus? It's unlikely, thankfully lol.

I was at a ridiculously loud local band show standing right next to the speakers (how could I not, they were awesome!!) and couldn't hear well for the rest of the night in my left ear.  It was fine the next day, but yeaaa I should probably get ear plugs >_>

Love loud music though ^_^

I stood next to the speaker for an entire Pretty Lights show and then went to the afterparty in a tiny venue (I got home around 7 AM). I've noticed my hearing hasn't been as good since then. Also, I went to Paul Oakenfold at Bonnaroo which was WAY too loud and stood next to the speaker for about 45 min to an hour and then realized that my ears hurt a lot and got earplugs. I could hear the Oakenfold concert at my campsite that was 1-1.5 miles away at least. I really need good earplugs for concerts.

Alpha, I think your ears are trying to tell you something.

the best ear plugs you can get are from a ear doctor. They pour something like wax into your ear that perfectly contours the shape of your ear. So they seal ALL sound, its kinda scary, but they are as comfortable as not having anything as they just shape with your ear so you'd never even know u had them on, (except u cant hear a thing)

Kinda expensive to get done tho. But if work requires it, it might be a good idea

You need earplugs that filter the sound. So that you will hear the music, but with less Decibel.

Yup, got em. Wear them ever I go to:

a) The pub
b) Any other loud noisy area

I've given up with clubs, if they did this to me it ain't worth it anymore.
