I Personally use Spybot S&D and AD aware 2007 free. works great for me.
I have also heard of a program called SpywareBlaster But I have never tried it.
-oh and did you remember to update spybot and immunize the computer?
-
I use Nortan AntiVirus and LavaSoft Ad-Aware SE Personal. Seems to work for me ;)
-
Ad-aware 2007 personal (which is free) works really well indeed.
-
Ya agreed, Ad-aware works really well you should use that man. :)

Ad-aware 2007 personal (which is free) works really well (This word belongs to Jaden Kalin).
Ad-aware 2007, should solve it.
-
hmm i also have Spybot, but its not doing the job along with the Symantic thing we have. I thought i had tried to download ad-aware and it got me as far as checking for problems, but never actually let me fix them unless i would buy it.
Spyware Doctor, or sometihng like that also the same.... it seams that the virus scanner has detected trojans, but after it delets them, and i run yet another scan a few hours later its like its all back. We have a non stop internet connection and i wonder if exploder is meesing me up here. but i dont think im allowed to change the browser.
Ive tried starting in safe mode to scan, but spy bot wont come up...
-
ok i downloaded ad-aware, but my computer sais that the system admin had set to prevent me from installing.... where do i change that?
-
Say
Run as...
Then choose administrator and fill in the password.
That should do it!
-
Ya, I haven't used ad-aware for awhile but when I did use the program it worked really well. There should be a new, updated version so now it is totally pwnage. ;)

Here is the best free antivirus/antispyware program i use.
For linux users (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast-for-linux-workstation.html)
for windows users (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html)

Try using a-Squared Free edition
http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/ (http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/)
I use this in addition to Ad-Aware 2007 & Spybot S&D. a-Squared has detected a lot more for me, so I hope it works well for you.
-
ok so its a bigger problem....
worm.win32.netsky
YEY !! THIS SUPER SUCKS !!!!
any ideas
-
worms LOL! good luck
-
reformatting? You also may want to just run like 5 scans in a row using your virus scanner, updating it after each scan?
-
Take my advice and use a-squared. It's designed specifically for trojans, worms, rootkits and other naughty malware.
-
Avast! Antivirus ftwftwftw!!
Install-reboot- and they do a startup scan -uninstall (it's great but starts finding trojans in everything if you give it the chance.)
-
Sheesh, home alone most of the time huh?

Haha, you're lucky. I got the bluescreen of death the other day. I wanted to die. I had to reformat and lost all of my files.
-
Best virus removal is manual removing each entry from the registry lol.
