As the Lord gave Jeff and Anne victory over their sinful lifestyle, they now knew that they had found a true friend in Christ: One who "will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5) and One who is "with you always, even unto the end of the world." (Matthew 28:20).

From the time that Jeff became a Christian, the infection just seemed to vanish away and, thanks to God, Jeff has been very healthy as a parapelegic (paralyzed from the chest down). He's looking forward to the day when the Lord will restore his health completely in heaven, where there will be "no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

Jeff and Anne were married in the fall of 2000 and baptized shortly after.

The Lord truly has been gracious and merciful to this couple. He paved the way for Jeff to attend college and He's taken care of their financial/housing situation every step of the way. Since Jeff had been a stoner all throughout his high school career, he never really thought he would want to go to college, but he was amazed to learn that God had completely sharpened his intellectual abilities. Jeff was able to acheive some of the highest grades in his class, thanks to the Lord. At first, Jeff wasn't exactly sure what he should major in, but one night (out of the blue) Anne suggested that they should start a Christian radio station and Jeff thought that sounded like a wonderful idea. They both felt that this was what God wanted them to do.

For awhile, they weren't sure where to begin, but the Lord began to open doors and lead them while they searched for a way to fulfill this inspired plan. As the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 devastated the United States, Jeff and Anne felt an urgent need to bring the message of salvation to as many people as they could. That's when Word of Truth Radio really began to take form!

So how did Word of Truth Radio actually begin?

As Jeff attended college, this couple began to feel the Lord calling Him into His service, but they weren't exactly sure what path to take. After Anne proposed the idea of launching a Christian radio station, Jeff switched his major over to Broadcasting and Audio Production. While Jeff was learning to work with audio equipment, they began to look into purchasing an existing FM station, but it just didn't seem to be God's will. Meanwhile, Jeff and Anne started their own Christian show on the local college radio station (Radio X on the campus of Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI), which was a great way for them to gain experience in radio. The calls they received in response to their music and dialogue was very encouraging, but they felt the need to venture on to something greater and less restrictive. Eventually Jeff started to explore the possibility of Internet Radio and they really sensed that his was what the Lord had in store for them: to start an Internet Radio ministry. They realized that both FM and AM radio were limited to specific geographical areas and regions, but Internet Radio had the potential to reach anyone around the earth, regardless of where they lived, especially with the rising popularity of the World Wide Web.

But right from the start, Jeff and Anne knew that whatever they ventured upon, the Lord would have to provide them with all the necessary resources. At the time, this couple didn't even own a computer, but they didn't let this slow them down. The Lord was on their side and they took advantage of what little they had. Within just a short time, Word of Truth Radio was on the air and, by the grace of God, the signal was reaching the entire globe!

Word of Truth Radio started with humble beginnings, and we pray that as it continues to grow and increase, that same humble spirit will remain.
